Using newspaper to block the sunlight will prevent new weeds growing and help kill off the current ones. Use more than 5 sheets of paper, but you can add more depending on the severity of the weeds.
If you have vodka in your house, it can dry out your weeds. Mix an ounce of vodka with two cups of water and pour it on the weeds. Be careful you don’t pour the vodka anywhere near your desired plants, as they may dry out also.
Boiling water is also a great way to rid of weeds, as they will burn up.
